Auto-SSL email notification - potential reduced coverage

This article will show you the steps to take to remove domains and subdomains from receiving automated notifications as below

AutoSSL did not renew the certificate for “example.com”. You must take action to keep this site secure.

The “cPanel” AutoSSL provider could not renew the SSL certificate without a reduction of coverage because of the following problems:

www.example.com (checked on Apr 20, 2069 at 3:33:29 PM UTC)

DNS DCV: No local authority: “www.example.com”; HTTP DCV: “www.example.com” does not resolve to any IP addresses on the internet.

webdisk.example.com (checked on Apr 20, 2069 at 3:33:29 PM UTC)

DNS DCV: No local authority: “webdisk.example.com”; HTTP DCV: “webdisk.example.com” does not resolve to any IP addresses on the internet.

What are these notifications?

Receiving these notifications doesn't normally mean that there is an issue and relates to the cPanels preset nature of creating Auto-SSLs instead.
cPanel default settings set up multiple subdomains, that might not be created for your domain. As the Auto-SSL needs these connected to be able to complete the SSL request though, an error happens.

How to Fix it?

First its important to check if any of the mentioned domains and subdomains should be connected to your hosting. eg. If you are hosting your website with another provider, it would be normal for this not to point at your hosting with us.

Once you confirmed that your domain is correctly set up, and that further notifications for the remaining domains and subdomains can be ignored, follow these steps to manage your Auto-SSL

Please follow the steps below to install AutoSSL in cPanel.
