Want to know what exactly is happening behind the scenes when you send/receive an email? Let's see how can you do that!
You can achieve this by looking at the email headers. The email header is a code snippet in an HTML email, that contains information about the sender, recipient, email’s route to get to the inbox, and various authentication details.
Sometimes we ask you to send us the email headers, you can do that by following the steps mentioned below.
- Login to Gmail
- Open any email you have sent/received
- Click on More
- Click on Show Original
- This would open a new tab with the title "Original Message"
- Scroll down and click on "Download Original"
- Send us the downloaded file at support@onlydomains.com
- Launch Outlook
- Open any mail you have sent/received
- Click on More actions
- Click on View Original
- This would open a box/modal on the screen with the title "Message Source"
- Copy and Paste the entire message in a .txt file
- Save it and send it to us at support@onlydomains.com
- Launch Apple Mail
- Open any mail you have sent/received
- Pull down the “View” menu and go to “Message”, then select “All Headers”
- This would open a box/modal on the screen with the title same as the mail you have received
- Copy and Paste the entire message in a file
- Save it and send it to us at support@onlydomains.com
- Launch Thunderbird
- Open any mail that you have sent/received by double-clicking on it
- Click on More
- Click on View Source
